The family ski mountain with far views
Thanks to the wide ski pistes and the gently descending slopes, Gerlitzen is a particularly family-friendly ski area.
Here it’s easy to learn to ski! At the area around the middle station at 1,526 m altitude you will find the optimum practice area. Gentle slopes with a snow guarantee make the beginning easy and the comfortable chairlifts ensure optimum relaxation between the "practice units". Already after a few days you will be ready to take the new 8-seater chairlift (the first 8-seater chairlift in Carinthia) to the summit at almost 2,000 m altitude.
Highlights for all the family are the more than 5 km long, varied slope down to the valley – with 1,000 metres difference in altitude down to Arriach-Klösterle, or the new 1.7 km long Gegendtal slope. On a length of 1.5 km, the Wörthersee slope offers breathtaking panoramic views.
"Snow bear area" for the smallest ones
For kids there are some special areas where there are always eventful activities on the programme for the smallest ones with never a dull moment. The popular mascot of the ski area, the Bino bear, visits the kids’ land frequently and provides for action. At the all-day care, the children are supervised by perfectly trained staff and learn the first basics of skiing in a playful way.
"Mini-Midi-Club" for children in our hotel
Children are well cared for in the Mini-Midi-Club with child care service. Games, playroom, creativity programme, children’s table with children’s meals complete the offer. There is a separate teens’ area with Playstation and Nintendo.
